Enemies fear Iran's leading role in region

(2011/10/19)

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said the Iranian nation triumphed in thwarting multiple plots hatched by arrogant powers, reiterating the significance of maintaining vigilance against persisting enemy schemes.

Islamic Revolution Leader cautioned how the enemy has persistently sought to portray an “inappropriate image” of the Islamic Republic to regional nations.

"US policies across the globe, particularly in the Middle East, have been foiled thanks to the resistance of the Iranian nation," said Ayatollah Khamenei in an address to a massive crowd of people in the city of Kangavar in western Iranian province of Kermanshah Wednesday morning.

Ayatollah Khamenei described resistance against arrogant powers as an “outstanding feature” of the Iranian nation and stated that the enemy intends to block the emergence of Iran as a role model among regional countries.

Islam ic Revolution Leader said the evil countries are well aware that the awakened nations in the region are looking up to Iran as a role model so they have mobilized all their might and instruments to prevent “Iran and Iranians” from becoming the leader of the grand Islamic Awakening movement so that other world nations do not follow in Iran’s path of resistance.

He said that the Iranian people have started a very difficult path and managed to strongly and honorably put some very difficult periods behind them such as the eight-year Iraqi imposed war as well as repeated sanctions imposed against the nation.

Ayatollah Khamenei called on the Iranian nation to reinforce its unity and integrity on a daily basis, reiterating that the Islamic establishment in Iran is unique in its adamant refusal to yield to arrogant powers.

Ayatollah Khamenei also urged the Media to exercise due caution in making remarks and disseminating information that would, intentionally or unintentionally, assist the enemy in achieving its anti-Iran objectives.

Leader meets with Top local personalities in Kermanshah province

(2011/10/18)

Top local personalities in Kermanshah province met with the Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei Tuesday morning in the seventh day of the IR Leader's landmark provincial visit.

The meeting was commenced by short speeches by 13 top personalities in which they expressed their views concerning different socio-political and economic issues.

Following the speeches, Ayatollah Khamenei delivered a speech, saying the grounds were prepared for the advance of the nation towards bright peaks.

Ayatollah Khamenei appreciated the young elites for their ambitious goals in drawing the prospects of the country and expressed hope the nation would enjoy more bountiful human assets in scientific and cultural domains in future.

Ayatollah Khamenei described the Kermanshah province as the handsome face of Iran in art, cultur e and literature, adding that, given the heroic spirit of the provincial population and the revolutionary ambience of the province, it has convened any praiseworthy features possible.

However, Ayatollah Khamenei expressed regret that the province has not been paid its deserved publicity attention, calling for more publicity efforts in this regard by the relevant authorities, including the IRIB.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the society must get accustomed to respect and dignify top personalities and holders of innovative minds, adding that he aims by his regular sessions with top Iranian personalities to set a pattern for the young generation.

The Islamic Revolution Leader said the international hegemony, motivated by the dangerous Protocols of Zion, seeks to promote deviant and unworthy models for world young generations, adding that the practice was running on premeditated policies.

Ayat ollah Khamenei said a second aim he sought through the meetings was to make known the innate talent of the Iranian nation and to counter the old colonial policy of humiliating the Iranian nation and presenting it as inefficient.

"The elites of the nation have invalidated the anti-Iranian policy through their magnificent scientific and technological advances," the IR Leader said.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the Iranian level of talent scored higher than the mean international levels, adding that at time when the west was suffering an absolutely dark era in terms of knowledge and science, Iran was on the vanguards of science across the Muslim world.

"The historical reality points to abundant human talents in this corner of the world; the innate, bright talent must reappear once more," the IR Leader urged.

Ayatollah Khamenei touched on the international reports that Iran was experiencing a speed of progress several times the mean international growth speed, adding that Iran, having relied on its young talents, will manage to reach the current frontiers of science and will surpass them to provide the human community with newer scientific prospects

Ayatollah Khamenei said the ultimate goal of such advances shall be to serve human sublimity. "Nevertheless the bullies and capitalists abuse science and art so that the Hollywood, as the world center of cinema, has come to be at the service of human decadence and the nations of Afghanistan and Iraq only get bombs and chemical weapons from the western science," the IR Leader deplored.

Ayatollah Khamenei said science and art were Divine blessings in essence, adding that the Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic government will put the lofty phenomena at the service of Islam, spirituality and human sublimity.

Leader: IRI never gives in to extortion

(2011/10/17)

Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei insists that despite growing military threats and political pressure, Iran will never retreat one step and will firmly resist such extortionist acts.

Addressing a massive crowd of jubilant people in the Kurdish city of Paveh in Western Iran Monday morning, Ayatollah Khamenei cautioned that the enemy is determined to sow dissension among Muslims and that one of the methods they use to carry out such nefarious acts is to invest in fomenting discord between Shii and Sunni.

Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated that the enemy is making huge efforts to highlight minor differences and undermine our many shared values and beliefs.

The IR Leader also reminded the people of Paveh and the surrounding Uramanat who are chiefly Sunni that the Shii and Sunni have a common foe, and that the Islamic Republic has succeeded in thwarting all plots against Muslims over the past 3 2 years.

Ayatollah Khamenei noted that the enemy is not interested in the Muslim solidarity.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution called on both Shii and Sunni to behave in such a manner that the enemy would realize that it is incapable of sowing discord among the Muslims.

Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that the only way of achieving success would be for Muslims not to “retreat even one step from their [righteous] path.”

The IR Leader reiterated that Islamic movements have been initiated in the Muslim world, noting that the Iranian nation can play a role in this important development.

The Iranian nation has proved its high capabilities over the past 32 years, so we have the potential to be looked up to as models and credible sources of support for other Muslim states, The IR Leader pointed out.

Ayatollah Khamenei also stated that if Iranians complement their loyalty to Islam with prudence, then they can be looked up to as a model.

If other nations utilize the 32-year experience of the Iranian people, it will then be beneficial to Iranians as well as to regional countries to establish a united Muslim nation, Ayatollah Khamenei added.

Ayatollah Khamenei is currently on a tour of Kermanshah Province in western Iran and has been warmly welcomed by overwhelmingly excited crowds of people in the region.

IRI will robustly counter any conspiracy

(2011/10/16)

Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei told a huge gathering of local academics in Kermanshah province, western Iran that the Islamic System of Iran was featured with constant freshness of aspirations, flexible engineering of system and timely modification of mechanisms.

Ayatollah Khamenei called today as day of diligence, perseverance and prudence, especially in light of the current regional uprisings.

The IR Leader said with a large size of overt and covert attempts underway to fill the political gap and find replacements for the ousted regimes in Egypt, Tunisia and other regional countries, it was imperative to reassess the structure of Islamic Republic and its componential features.

Ayatollah Khamenei said such reassessment would also prove helpful for the general performance of the Islamic System, adding that any efforts made in disregard of the existing realities or the prospects ahead w ould normally lead to nowhere.

Ayatollah Khamenei urged the academics to contemplate on several questions namely whether the system has worn out or would get dilapidated some day, how to boost the system's longevity, and how to cure a likely dilapidation of the political system.

In providing a response, Ayatollah Khamenei recounted the development and survival of the Islamic System, saying that the 1979 Islamic Revolution helped topple the then corrupt royal regime and set the stage for the formation of the Islamic System which reflected the political choice of the Iranian nation.

Ayatollah Khamenei added that formation of an Islamic government and an Islamic society followed the establishment of the Islamic System and that the system aims to form an Islamic Ummah as a mid-term but significant objective.

Ayatollah Khamenei defined 'Islamic Society' as a society where great Islamic aspirations and dreams for the mankind are got materialized, namely justi ce, freedom, effective participation of masses in deciding their own fate, accomplishment of national dignity and welfare for all, elimination of poverty and hunger, and full-scale accomplishment of socio-cultural and politico-economic advances among others.

Ayatollah Khamenei noted however that the ultimate goal of an Islamic Society was to help humans reach to spiritual perfection and obedience to God, adding that indeed such a society would naturally lead to the formation of an Islamic Ummah.

Ayatollah Khamenei alerted however about any confusion of the concepts and features of Islamic Society with their counterparts in the western doctrines, adding that the concepts of justice, freedom, and human dignity as deeply understood and practiced in an Islamic society are totally different from their western counterparts.

Ayatollah Khamenei said a western-styled reading of such concepts have proved problematic for Islamic community in the past and presence, addin g that genuine Islam and Koranic teachings must be employed in defining such concepts rather than the deviant western practices.

Ayatollah Khamenei noted however that the westerners even have failed to stick to their own definitions of such concepts and, as they have already showed in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and many other countries, they tend to seek such devilish goals as to control economic hubs or energy reserves or to support the Zionist regime as a loop to their hegemonic chain under the banner of democracy, combat against nuclear weapons or fight against terrorism.

Ayatollah Khamenei said so burgeoning a society as the Islamic one is would never wear out or get dilapidated because it seeks such innate aspirations as justice, freedom and perfection which never lose their freshness.

Ayatollah Khamenei then drew a distinction between the issue of Islamic aspirations and the mechanisms adopted to accomplish them, saying that mechanisms and policies drawn u p at time for the development of an Islamic Society might be got inefficient after a while due to a change of conditions on the ground.

"It is then allowed to modify and refurbish such mechanisms," the IR Leader said, adding however that any such modification should comply with Islamic principles and that the Constitution has predicted provisions to accommodate such modifications.

Ayatollah Khamenei concluded that the Islamic system both enjoys constants as regards "continued, unshakable movement towards aspirations" and exercises modifications as regards mechanisms and styles of the movement.

The IR Leader noted that a reconstruction of the Islamic System as he urges for would never mean a revision of aspirations rather it means a modification of policies and decision makings. He added that such a reconstruction would prevent fanaticism and would help keep the system constantly fresh and burgeoning.

In another regard, Ayatollah Khamenei elucidated on the concept of Wilaya-te Faqih (or rule of Islamic Fiqh) and the role of leader in the Islamic System, saying in view of Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic, Wilaya-te Faqih means a live, burgeoning and progressive handling of affairs.

The IR Leader rejected a misconception by some individuals of the notion of Mutlaqeh (absolute) in 'Wilaya-te Mutlaqeh Faqih,' established by Imam Khomeini, as a mandate for Wali-ye Faqih (ruler) to disregard the Constitution, adding that the dear, revered Imam himself complied more than any one else with all laws, regulations, and minutes of Islamic statutes.

Ayatollah Khamenei noted that should leader loses his qualifications under the Wilaya-te Faqih Doctrine he would be automatically dismissed even before any provisions are exercised to dismiss him.

Ayatollah Khamenei said leadership in the Islamic System was a values-favored macro-management, distinct from executive management or direct responsibility of the three branches of power in the Islamic Government. The IR Leader said leader was required by the Constitution to oversight the performance of the authorities and safeguard the general movement of the system.

Ayatollah Khamenei denied the idea out there that 'such and such would not be decided unless the leader makes his opinion first,' saying that the authorities in the Executive, the Legislative and the Judiciary run their offices at full legal discreet. "They might take a decision the leader does not favor however the leader neither is allowed not he can interfere in such decisions except where a given decision might lead to deviation from the path of Revolution," Ayatollah Khamenei said.

Ayatollah Khamenei then said the Islamic Republic never objects to formation of political parties across the society provided that such parties are run to form and develop thoughts across the society in different political, religious and ideological arenas rather than to grasp a gr ip on power as seen in the west. "The present western parties have actually turned into clubs of power-seeking; they seek to grasp power by any means whatsoever. We do not approve such a partisan system," the IR Leader said.

Ayatollah Khamenei wrapped up his remarks by a statement about the recent contentious US scenario in leveling terrorist allegations against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The IR Leader said the Islamic System has been keeping a full watch on the intentions behind the US scenario, warning the Washington authorities that the Islamic Republic would robustly counter any plot or destructive movement.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the US was likely seeking to sideline the Wall Street movement by the scenario, adding however that they have failed as people in at least 80 countries across the world have backed the widening movement. "The reality has proved very bitter and difficult to digest for the US authorities," Ayatollah Khamenei suggested.

Ay atollah Khamenei pointed to the US government's efforts to repress the movement, adding that a clampdown might be likely however the movement would keep staying like fire under ash.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the ominous Zionist network was ruling the US and European authorities. He warned the western authorities that the day their nations realize that the true cause of their problems had been their authorities' undignified accommodation of Zionists, the flames of their rage would indeed set the system of Hegemony afire and burn it into ashes.

"You have turned your back to your people. You are hated by most of them. The Islamic Republic is otherwise where the large national participation points to the nation's firm resolve and perseverance against any conspiracy," Ayatollah Khamenei said.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the Islamic Republic has not budged under any pressure or conspiracies in the past 32 years and would not. "If the US authorities entertain with some dreams they must then know that any undue movement, either political or security in nature, would be dealt with a firm national decision," Ayatollah Khamenei warned.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the enmity, the most ominous devil of the world (the US) felt towards the Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic was indicative of true promises of God, adding that the malicious treatment would only add to the faith of the Iranians and would help the divine promises as to eventual victory of the Iranian nation over any conspirators.

Of course there are certain shortcomings, but if these shortcomings are addressed, this should be interpreted as a sign that things are being done in the right way."

His Eminence said that in spite of what the enemies say, the country has bright future prospects. "The movement of the Islamic Revolution has been a successful movement and the reason is the experiences of the Iranian nation, the existing realities and the outstanding advances over the past 32 years."

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed: "The progressive movement of the Revolution does not mean that there are no problems, but there are many experiences in different arenas that can inspire managers in charge of different sectors in the country."

Elites hold key to Iran's success, progress

(2011/10/05)

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday that devoted Iranian youths, scientists, intellectuals and elites hold the key to the country’s success and development.

Islamic Revolution Leader made the remark in a meeting with one thousand talented and university students in Tehran on Wednesday.

Power without reliance on religion leads to tyranny and violence, warned the Leader, adding that if a nation wants to protect itself from military, cultural and ethical inroads, it should rely on its elites who bring pride, dignity, success and development for the nation.

Iranian youths, elites and intellectuals played a prominent role in the country’s remarkable progress and success, said Ayatollah Khamenei.

Since the politicians in the Pahlavi dynasty felt humiliation in dealing with the West, they had undermined the country’s rich capabilities and potentials irresp ective of its glorious civilization but the Islamic Revolution put an end to such false notions and pave the way for the country to move towards success and development, Ayatollah Khamenei said.

Islamic Revolution Leader also advised the country’s officials to spare no efforts to help promote science in the country.

"The officials should help enhance production of home-made products by banning import of similar products from foreign countries," Ayatollah Khamenei said adding that this is among duties of government organizations as well as the banking system to support manufacturers and industrialists to this effect.

Islamic Revolution Leader noted that

the Iranian nation along with the country’s officials are now approaching their lofty goal and should be well aware of the ups and downs on this path and never hesitate to overcome hurdles.

Five top university students briefed Islamic Revolution Leader on the viewpoints of the audience on variou s issues of the country.

'Enemy after discord among Muslims'

3.10.2011

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei cautions against enemy efforts to sow discord among Muslims, saying that solidarity is the only way to counter such conspiracies.

Addressing a gathering of officials in charge of Hajj affairs in the capital city of Tehran on Monday, Islamic Revolution Leader said solidarity is the only way to foil enemy plots targeting the Islamic Awakening in the Middle East and North Africa as well as to counter efforts to create division during this year's Hajj pilgrimage.

Ayatollah Khamenei urged Iranian pilgrims to provide nations that have recently witnessed the victory of their revolution with their 30-year experience in fighting arrogant powers and enemies.

Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the recent banking scam in the country and said such a large-scale embezzlement was the result of officials failing to heed the Leader's advice to fight financial corrupt ion over the past 10 years.

“Although authorities welcomed fighting economic corruption, if they had acted based on this advice [to fight corruption] we would never witness such incidents such as this recent financial corruption,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.

The Islamic Revolution Leader said judicial officials must resolutely and carefully probe the case, inform the people of their findings and “cut off the hands of the traitors” behind this graft.

Ayatollah Khamenei assured the Iranian nation that all three branches of the establishment --Judicial, Legislative and Executive -- are firm in their resolve to settle the matter and prevent similar cases from happening.

“Of course there are those who want to exploit this incident to call into question officials; this is while government, Parliament and judicial authorities are performing their duties.”

Ayatollah Khamenei urged the media to avoid creating a bigger hype over the case, st ressing that they should allow Iranian officials to carefully and resolutely investigate the matter.

The Leader advised the judiciary to show no leniency in dealing with corrupt individuals.

Leader urges liberation of Palestinian lands

(2011/10/01)

“The US president says that Israel's security is his red line. What has drawn this red line? The interests of the American nation or Obama's need for the money and support of Zionist companies to secure his second term as the US president?” the Leader said Saturday at the fifth International Conference on Palestinian Intifada in Tehran.

“This red line drawn by Obama and people like him will be crossed by Muslim nations that have risen up,” Ayatollah Khamenei added.

The Leader said that the real threat to the Zionist regime was the resolve of Muslim countries that did not want America, Europe or their stooges to rule over their countries.

Ayatollah Khamenei said that Western countries had to stop their support for the Zionist regime and recognize Palestinians' rights or face heavy blows in a not very distant future.

He also urged Muslim countries to cut off diplomatic and economic relations w ith the Zionist regime to prove their sincerity in supporting Palestinians, saying: "The most important pillar in supporting the Palestinian nation is cutting support for the usurper enemy."

The Leader rejected any solution seeking to split Palestine and called for the liberation of all Palestinian lands.

Ayatollah Khamenei said that a solution suggesting the existence of a Palestinian state along with an Israeli one amounted to the renouncement of Palestinians' rights, adding that any plan needed to be based on the principle of “the whole Palestine for all Palestinians.”

The Leader reiterated Iran's proposal of staging referendum for all Palestinians, saying: "Today, the Zionist regime is hated and America is confused more than ever."

The fifth International Conference on Palestinian Intifada opened at the Summit Conference Hall in Tehran on Saturday.

The conference focuses on the restoration of Palestinians' rights, including their rights t o return to their homeland and determine their own fate, and on the liberation of Palestinian territories occupied by the Zionist regime.

Leader: Palestine, the primary issue

1.10.2011

Leader of the Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in his speech in the inaugural ceremony of the fifth international conference on Palestinian intifada called Palestine the primary issue among all Islamic countries’ common issues.

Explaining the reasons and factors of emergence and decline of some Palestinian groups and their deviation from the path of popular struggle, the leader of the Islamic revolution pointed to the ups and downs of the formation of the cores of resistance up to giving in to compromise by some groups, and considered some Arab regimes’ treacherous submission to the Zionist regime in Camp David as a turning point in the formation of the resistance movement of the Palestinian nation to realize its violated rights.

He regarded the important developments like the disgraceful defeat of the Israeli army in South Lebanon and the Zionist regime failure in Gaza as bright consequences of the Palestinian nation’s movement to defend its rights.

Ayatollah Khamenei called the current plan of the Palestinian Self-rule Authority as abiding by the Zionists’ demands and ignoring the rights of the Palestinian displaced, and explicated that what materializes the rights of the Palestinian nation is not to free a segment of the Palestinian land but Palestine in its real sense i.e. the entire land of Palestine. He reiterated that the Zionist regime and the US have proved several times that they don’t give a farthing to such agreements. The leader of the Islamic revolution ruled out any plan that would fragment Palestine and added that the two-state plan is tantamount to ignoring the right of the Palestinian refugees, threatening the right of the Palestinians residing in the lands with the 1948 borders, remaining of the cancerous tumor in the region and a repetition of the decades-long pains of the oppressed Palestinian nation.

The leader of the Islamic revolution considered the plan of the Islamic republic of Iran as a clear plan for to resolve the Palestinian issue and underlined that the logic of the Islamic republic of Iran is accepted by the international code, since it doesn’t suggest the classic wars by the Islamic army, neither does it propose pouring the Jews into the sea nor does it suggest the arbitration by the UN or other International bodies; but it Iran puts forward the referendum by the Palestinian nation because the Palestinian nation has the right to determine its destiny, and every Palestinian including Muslims and Christians but not the foreign immigrants should take part in the referendum. This will determine the ultimate fate of those who have migrated to Palestine.

Then pointing to Obama’s words, where he said that Israel is the red line of the US, leader of the Islamic revolution asked, “Who has drawn this redline? Is this red line based on the interests of the American people or is it a requirement for the president to have the support of the Zionist lobby for the second term of presidential campaign and remaining in power?

Ayatollah Khamenei considered many social, economic and moral problems in Europe and America having their roots in the Octopus dominance of Zionism on European states and the US who consider their illegitimate interests in the light of supporting Israel.
